Time Lapse is an independent vintage toy, collectibles and retro pop-culture store in downtown Collingswood, New Jersey, just minutes from Philadelphia. Our shelves bring together the familiar, the rare and the unusual: vintage and modern toys, Japanese imports, designer figures, Pokémon and trading-cards, records, VHS tapes, retro video games, rpgs, books, clothing, and ephemera.
A Store Built for Discovery
Time Lapse is designed for people who still enjoy the thrill of finding something in person. Some visitors arrive with a specific toy in mind. Others come to browse and leave with something they didn't know existed. The selection changes constantly, so every visit is different.
The store reaches across the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and 2000s while making room for contemporary artists and new collectibles. You'll find classic action figures, advertising mascots, Japanese robots and monsters, analog media and original creations inspired by decades of popular culture.
For Collectors, Families and Curious Visitors
Serious collectors are welcome, but no expert knowledge is required. Time Lapse is equally suited to families, teenagers, day-trippers, first-time collectors and anyone looking for the perfect gift. The shop welcomes everyone: it's a place where different generations share memories and discover something new together.
Near Philadelphia, in the Heart of Collingswood
You will find Time Lapse at 689 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood, NJ, in the borough’s charming downtown shopping district. Collingswood is directly across the Delaware River from Philadelphia and is minutes away by car or PATCO.
Our current hours are Wednesday 11–5, Thursday and Friday 11–6, Saturday 10–7 and Sunday 11–5. We are closed Monday and Tuesday. Hours change slightly by season so check the website or call (856) 559-7439 before making a trip.
The People Behind Time Lapse
Founder Eric Ingala is a lifelong collector of toys, ephemera, VHS and records. Time Lapse grew from that curiosity and from the belief that a great store can be more than a place to buy things: it's a mini-museum, a place for like minds and a journey through pop culture history.
