eBay Listing Studio Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Time Lapse uses eBay Listing Studio, a private Windows desktop application for creating and managing listings for our own authorized eBay seller account. It applies to that application and its eBay authorization return page. Our storefront privacy policy separately covers shopping on this website.
Information used by the application
The application uses listing and inventory information, including SKUs, titles, descriptions, prices, quantities, categories, item specifics, product identifiers, photographs and listing settings. It can retrieve the authorized seller account's business policies, inventory locations and relevant inventory and offer records from eBay. It stores application credentials and OAuth authorization tokens needed to connect to eBay. This version does not retrieve buyer orders, payment-card information or customer address lists.
How information is used and shared
We use this information to prepare drafts, validate listing details, upload photographs, create inventory and offers, publish listings, maintain the authorized connection and diagnose errors. Listing information and selected photographs are transmitted to eBay when those operations are requested. Published listing content becomes available on eBay according to the listing settings and eBay's policies. The desktop application does not sell personal information or send eBay account data to advertising services.
Storage and security
Drafts, settings and diagnostic logs are stored on the Windows computer running the application. OAuth tokens and the client secret are protected using Windows encryption tied to the current Windows user. Drafts, CSV exports and logs are ordinary local files and should be protected through the computer's access controls. The application communicates with eBay over HTTPS. The application does not collect or store the seller's eBay password; sign-in takes place with eBay.
The authorization return page is hosted on our Shopify website. Its address may temporarily contain an authorization code and a security state value supplied by eBay. Shopify and the website's configured services may process request URLs and ordinary website usage information as part of hosting the page. The desktop application exchanges the authorization code directly with eBay; the return page does not itself complete the connection or publish listings.
Retention and deletion
Local drafts and settings remain on the computer until removed. Backup files, exported CSV files, selected photo files and older diagnostic logs may remain separately. To remove the application's local data, close the application and delete its data folder, backups and any separately saved exports or logs. Removing local files does not delete inventory or listings already sent to eBay; manage those records in eBay.
The account owner can revoke the application's authorization through their eBay account's application-access settings. Revoking access prevents further authorized API use but does not automatically erase local files or existing eBay listings.
Diagnostics and support
The application records startup events, runtime exceptions and API errors in a local error log. Known credentials are redacted, but diagnostic messages may still include listing information or local file paths. A log is shared with a support provider only when the user chooses to upload or send it. Review logs before sharing them.
